I love your plugin! I love to see all functions other GUI's like pail and Bukkit Server GUI in your amazing GUI.
I prefer yours, because Pail is outdated and the other one isn't quite handy.
These are my suggestions for your GUI:

Inventory/kills/active and inactive player information, cannot be done without a plugin. I will write a plugin to add some of these functions, though the plugin won't be necessary.

Remote server: Still working on it, it will improve (currently it's the first test with remote support)

Automatic plugin updates: I've been experimenting a few times with plugin.yml files, which are saved in each plugin. I might load plugin information from these files, allowing me to get the version, and check for newer versions. I will add this once I find time to do this.

Web access: Would be nice, though this is something to be added later.

Languages: I am considering to add a langauge system, saving languages in .xml files. These files could be edited with a tool I write, or manually. Users would be able to translate the program, whereafter I could add this translations to the project page.

log search: I will add this

    greets,

An early version of the scheduler, a settings editor for bukkit and various small changes and bugfixes are implemented in v1.6.0.0. Available from Bukkitdev, and http://bukkit.bertware.net
Usage of the scheduler is at your own risk, as it is currently very unstable and unfinished.
    Enjoy!

I use the 1.6.0.1 version and still having this bug:
I don't know if it is already been fixed, I am gonna update now.
    Also ideas:

    - block messages (can't keep it up)

    - can set if logtype ([INFO] or [SERVERE]) can be left (cuz it has already colors)

    - with UP show the last message you have typed in the console

    - the [Plugin_name] can be bold

    - explain how remote control works!

    -THANK YOU :D

    gonna update now... :p

I thing, I seriously love this plugin! My suggestions:
    • Kill Players
    • Show the inventory of another player (possible with plugin support)
    • Edit the inventory of another player (possible with plugin support)
    • Java process priority selection
    • Server Log search
    • Updated list of worlds (online/offline)
    • Custom skins and more languages (Dutch :D)
    • Plugin config editor
    • Permissions editor (EssentialsGroupManager)
    • World map (dynmap)
    • Remote server explanation (because I don't get it!)
    • Server website/browser access
    • Block server messages, such as 'Can't keep it up'
    • Ability to disable logtypes/events, such as [INFO], [WARNING] and [SERVERE] (cuz you can already see it though the colours
    • UP key shows the last message you typed in chatbox
    • Make [PluginName] bold, like [My Worlds]
    Thank you, Greetz Roy

Hello Bertware, I know that you are probably swamped with issues, but i just have a simple question. So I downloaded the BukkitGUI and it worked perfect! I am having no issues except for not being able to install the Essentials mod. I used the list in the BukkitGUI and it says that i can only use .jar files. I know this is probably an easy fix and i'm probably the only one who doesn't know how to do this but if you could help me out, I would be extremely grateful.

    Thanks!

You can just right click on the plugin in the list, then click "go to project page"
you will be redirected to the bukkitdev page, where you can download the .zip
Then just extract the .jar files into your [SERVER FOLDER]/plugins/ directory.

However, I would dis-recommend to install essentials, as essentials might give you trouble with the GUI, and essentials gives troubles with LOTS (I mean, really much) other plugins.

You can fix this to open the essentials.jar (with winrar) and edit the plugin.yml in there.
Just remove this part in the plugin.yml:
    Good luck!
Bertware misschien kan je dit ergens melden?

That's actually quite a good idea, the GUI could do that without user interaction.... :)
And yeah, going to contact the author about this.

Does the tool work for Mac?

    Bertware

It doesn't work on mac as far as I know. Also mac support isn't planned. The program works on windows XP and higher, and with linux and mono.

    Again thanks!

So I know that you can instal the pluggins using the GUI and I was wondering if you could go onto the pluggins folder manually just like if I had installed the server myself? This is the first server I've run myself so I don't know a lot. But certain mods have settings and what not you have to edit in the plugin itself. So once I download the pluggin, dynamic map for example, I can unzip it with winrar and then edit the pluggin from the folder I've saved the GUI and server stuff to?

    Bertware

You can still manually install/uninstall/edit plugins.
To install a plugin, just drop the jar.
To configure a plugin, search for a folder with the same name as the plugin. Note: not all plugins do have settings.
To remove a plugin, remove the .jar of the plugin (if you want to remove the plugin settings too, delete the folder)

    The plugins folder:
Lets say you placed the GUI in a folder called "server" then your plugins are at "server/plugins"

Personally I need a Log in the console that shows the commands people are attempting to use..Is this possible instead of log files

  22. Offline

    Bertware

You should use a plugin in order to show these.

hi im getting player name ghosts in the GUI. (the bukkit gui project 1.6.1.1)..

that means that players have logged out and logged back in, and the old name remains visible in the player list in the GUI. so i see the same name 3x for example....

also player names of banned people dont seem to disapear aswell

Are you using essentials or any plugin that overrides the /list command?
We're currently rewriting all code. This should fix the majority of the bugs and allow us to improve some things, add some new stuff.

This is a problem at my server, returning an invalid reply.
Immediately after I discovered it, I contacted my hoster.
It's due to some DDOS protection, and should be solved within 24 hours.
Feature versions will be more resistant against this sort of problems.
I'll keep you up to date.
