I won't port LogBlock myself to mcAPI. Source code is available, so it shouldn't be to difficult for someone else to do it, also I'm still here. so I can answer questions. If there is more than one willing, that's up to you to handle that.

The reasons I take this step, are the usual: I quit playing Minecraft about 5 months ago and lastly I was struggling to keep up with updates. The developement of Guardian made slow progress, so I fear it won't be ready to fully replace LB in time.

    Description:

LogBlock logs block changes into a MySQL database. Block changes can be placed or destroyed block, explosions, burned blocks, sign text changes, chest access, leaves decay etc.
It can be used as griefer identification tool, to find out who build a particular building, or even roll back changes by certain players. Other purposes can be e.g: Undoing of forest fires
All additional features are optional, to keep the database as short as possible. All database actions run in their own threads to avoid server lags.
The use of permissions plugin (or any clone) is possible, but not necessary.
Uses Spout for chest logging (but it's fully optional, and there is no need for the client mod at all).

    Features:
    • Logging for block placing, block braking, fire, explosions, leaves decay, signtexts, lava flow and chest content
    • Very mighty commands system, not only allowing to rollback and redo, but also to tp to blockchanges, delete log ingame etc. Full list of commands.
    • Many parameters for lookup/rollback/redo/tp/clearlog commands: Block changes of one ore more player, in a specific area, in a world edit selection, specific block types only, block changes older or newer that a specific date, destroyed/created block only, in a different world and combinations of all these parameters. Full list of parameters.
    • Rebuilding map after importing a backup (/lb redo)
    • Last parameter to use the parameters of the last command
    • Quick ingame lookup of block history a wood pickaxe or a bedrock block.
    • All commands accessible from console (exept tools :D)
    • Custom queries for tools.
    • Different tool modes (lookup, rollback, redo, writelogfile and clearlog)
    • Saves block data like wool color, log type, torch adjustment, etc
    • Multiworld and multiserver support (some servers sharing the same database)
    • BigBrother log import
    • Loggable super pickaxe plugin (not to confuse with WorldEdit's super pickaxe)
    • API
    • Webstats
    Why to use LogBlock:

Example commands: (thanks to tha d0ctor, read more about commands here)

/lb rollback player fire since 1d3h – rolls back fire 1 day 3 hours
/lb rollback player fire since 1d3h area 15 – rolls back fire 1 day 3 hours within a radius of 15 blocks

    /lb rollback player thad0ctor since 1h - rolls back thad0ctor 1 hour
/lb rollback player thad0ctor since 1d area 5 – rolls back thad0ctor actions for the last day within 5 blocks
/lb rollback area 10 since 1h30m - rolls back all modifications within 10 blocks since the list 1 hours and 30 mins
/lb rollback area 10 before 06.11.2011 - roll back all changes in an area of 1o before June 11th, 2011
/lb rollback player thad0ctor since 05:36:00 - roll back all changes of thad0ctor since 05:36 (server time)

    How to post error messages:

I won't aswer questions to general MySQL setup/installation/what is MySQL (there are lots of good tutorials out there, use google)
Please read the installation guide before asking a question about installation problems.
Please read the FAQ before posting a error report. It may be solved there.
In case of rollback or lookup problems: Type /lb savequeue and try again (when it's fixed then, it was a consumer problem, see FAQ)
When you post error messages, it's important to paste the whole stack trace!

Check server.log for the full error message.
    Works fine for me.
Are you confusing the wood pickaxe and the bedrock block?
Even better, it has a shorthand called "sel" :D

Hi could anyone help me with this error? I went through the posts and saw a few people had a similar error. The error is that everything with the MySQL database is set up and commands are working fine, its just that the toolblock (bedrock) and tool (wooden pick) do not trace anything and function as a regular tool/block. Does anyone know the fix for this? Sorry if i missed it while i was reading through the pages. Thank you!

When ever I try to use /lb (anything) I get:

    Code:
No database connected. Check your MySQL user/pw and database for typos. Start/restart your MySQL server.

This is, all details are correct, the database is online (and has been for a while). LB was working yesterday, but overnight it seemed to stop connecting and I have no idea why.

I've restarted the server, still nothing.

    Help! :(

DiddiZ What permissions plugin does this work with? Does it work with Essentials Group Manager? Because When I use LogBlocks in compilation with Essentials Group Manager, permissions dont work and EVERYONE on my server has access to LogBlocks, even guests. All commands.

    Thanks!

I changed the world name and now log block doesnt recognize the world. I want this new world name, but i want my "old" server log too... what can i do? I tryed to rename the MySQL tables and in the LogBlock config the table name but no changes. No errors in my server log, so no need to post it.

I hope someone can help, i m running the newest Bukkit build for 1.2.4 and the newest Log Block (it worked with 1.2.4 well before i renamed the world). Sry for my bad english :D

Basically, you need to change the world name in loggedWorlds and to rename the world config file.

Looks like you didn't set the username, or the entry got regenerated due to a syntax error.

For some reason im now getting told that NoLagg or LogBlock is interfering with my plugin ReferGift. The issues start when a string or integer is changed in my plugin's config and then reloaded with NoLagg or LogBlock being on the server. I don't understand how my Command driven plugin is interfering with these two plugins. Heres the tickets i received.

My Source for refergift. I wouldn't know where to begin to check for interfering lines of code.

I fixed it, for now anyway! I reset the database, new user, and reset LB completely and its working so far. But LB is rather slow at saving, what is your recommendation for a server with around 40 people actively building all the time? :) Thanks for your help btw, very quick to respond!

I'm having the same problem. LogBlock is enabled, and its green in my /plugins list. all of the / commands work properly, but every time i place the tool block or use the tool, nothing happens. Maybe LogBlock needs an update for 1.2.4? or just wait until 1.2.5 comes out lulz

  30. Make sure your world name is listed to be logged in the config file, I found that out when I had my world named something other than "world".

There is a logging feature on worldedit and then it shows it in the logs. Log block has no world edit feature itself.

I have my world in the config. everything in the config is setup properly, and i really have no explanation for why it wont work. No errors in console either :/. I'm just not sure why it doesnt work, but maybe it needs to be updated. It has been a while...

Ok, So i checked console, and the only LogBlock related thing i see is this:

    LogBlock: Enabling LogBlock v1.50
LogBlock: Permissions plugin not found. Using Bukkit Permissions.

It's the second line that im not sure about. I'm using PEX, and i have everything configured correctly. Then again, i dont think theres a problem with it at all. Yep, my LogBlock just won't work. But i need it >.< it's imperative for preventing grief. I don't know any other plugin that can tell me who destroyed/placed something.....
