THIS IS NOT AN UPDATE FOR MINECRAFT RELEASED IN 2013
Show SpoilerHide Spoiler
A new CraftBukkit Recommended Build (#1000) with Minecraft 1.7.3 support is now available. This new build contains a fix for a huge memory leak (resulting in significantly improved performance), a rudimentary Piston API and a built-in permissions system, among other things (for more information, look at the Recommended Build announcement thread linked below).
Will plugins break with this build?
Provided the developers of the plugins you are using are keeping up with the development of Bukkit, all your plugins should work fine. However, there are possibly changes included in this build that could break some plugins, though this is highly unlikely to happen.
Known Issues:
Signs, chests, furnaces, etc. sometimes wipe under certain circumstances. This is a vanilla Minecraft 1.7 bug that we're still investigating.
When will we get a Recommended Build for Minecraft Beta 1.7.3? Why did this update take so long?
When Minecraft Beta 1.7.3 came out, most of us on the team were not available at the time to deal with the update, causing the update to take longer than it usually would. As it was a small update, however, we were still eventually able to get a compatible build out for testing and people that like to be on the edge of technology.
Unfortunately, around the same time the update came out, we were having issues with our build process, resulting in a complete halt of development and deployment and causing us to scramble to put together a temporary solution to address the issue in the meantime. While the team was able to do this in a reasonable amount of time, myself and another admin on the team was away out of town on a scheduled absence. This absence resulted in our inability to address any of the issues that came up until I got back Sunday evening, including our lack of...

Update - July 1, 2011 at 3:01PM EST:
Minecraft 1.7.2 contains a dupe exploit that will ruin your economy or could create other issues. We strongly recommend waiting for a fix from either Mojang or ourselves before updating.
We're pleased to announce our fastest update ever, and we've just made our 1.7.2 compatible build of CraftBukkit available to download as a recommended build here.
For those who are interested, we had a 1.7 update ready for testing within 15 minutes of 1.7 being launched. That's compared to hours or even days we usually take! 1.7.1 was ready within 10 minutes, and 1.7.2 was ready in just under 10.
We'd like to thank you all for helping us test these out, and rest...
Staff Update - July 1, 2013: This thread is not from 2013. This thread is about the 2011, BETA version of Minecraft 1.6. There is no ETA for the 2013 Minecraft 1.6 update, as always. Please do not ask staff about when an update will happen, as they have no estimate for you. Again, this thread is not relevant to today's update.
Update 2 - June 23, 2011 at 9:12PM EST:
New Recommended Build #928.
This Recommended Build addresses a few API issues and provides Plugin Developers with more events to work with, allowing more awesome plugins to be made. Unfortunately, this new RB WILL break some plugins (mostly plugins that deal with controlling a player's movement - details can be found near the end of this announcement). As always, please be sure to backup your server before updating just in case!
